Sweet Almond Transparent Lip Balm

This lip balm is for those who prefer a natural and nude look – but could do with a healthy dose of moisture to protect their lips. This is in fact, the most basic lip balm recipe there is…

Ingredients you’ll need-
  • Beeswax – 1 teaspoon
  • Sweet almond oil – 1 teaspoon
  • Shea butter – 2 teaspoon
  • Peppermint essential oil – 5 drops

And now for the directions-
  • Melt all the ingredients – except the essential oil – together in a pan on low flame.
  • Remove from heat once all the ingredients have been mixed thoroughly. Let it cool.
  • Add the essential oil.
  • Mix all of the ingredients well.
  • Pour into a container – you get lip balm tubes or pots made of plastic quite easily. Let it set.
Voila! Your moisturizing lip balm is ready to use. The almond oil and the Shea butter make for great moisturizing agents.

Ingredients that you’ll need-
  • Grated beeswax – 2 tbsp
  • Sweet almond oil – 2 tsp.
  • Coconut oil – 2 tbsp.
  • Beetroot powder – 1/4th tsp.
  • Essential oil (peppermint) – 10 drops

 Directions to prepare it-
  • Melt all the ingredients – except the peppermint oil – in a double boiler.
  • Remove from heat once all the ingredients have been incorporated well.
  • Let it cool down a little before adding the essential oil.
  • Fill your lip balm containers and let it set well.
